CN Utility Consulting Inc Company Information
- United States
CN Utility Consulting is likely the industry's most qualified company to comment on all issues related to Utility Vegetation Management programs, practices, and legal/regulatory requirements. In addition to successfully performing numerous UVM program reviews for other utility companies across North America, CNUC has singular access to the most comprehensive and up to date information on current UVM practices and requirements. This comprehensive and specialized knowledge comes from performing large scale UVM benchmarking studies with over 50 utility companies across North America. This ongoing effort (since 2002) is routinely referred to as the most comprehensive industry review of UVM activities and is invaluable to many utility companies across North America. CNUC's understanding of legal and regulatory requirements comes from direct involvement with the development and/or interpretation of almost every major UVM standard in existence. To illustrate, CNUC has served on each of the NERC FAC-003 standards development committees, drafted language for the Uniform Fire Code, Urban Wildland Interface Code, and numerous state regulations such as California's Rule 35. CNUC has also developed FERC's Best Management Practices for transmission utility vegetation management programs and has been involved in the crafting of standards such as ANSI A300 and ISA Best Management Practice publications related specifically to UVM. CNUC has received numerous industry awards for UVM related accomplishments and, to further illustrate our reputation, was commissioned by FERC as the Principal UVM experts/investigators for the Joint US/Canada Task Force investigation into the Northeast Blackout of 2003.
